Kinesiologists are specialists in the study of human movement. Applying the latest evidence- based research in exercise science to assist in the prevention and rehabilitation of injuries, diseases and other physiological conditions. Kinesiologists use exercise testing and prescription to improve health and performance.
Your first appointment with a Kinesiologist will be up to 60 minutes long. In our initial appointment you will be assessed, enabling us to develop a personalised exercise plan. You will be advised if you would benefit from further treatment, or if you could also benefit from an assessment with our Physiotherapist.
Exercise therapy
This can be used to promote recovery or maintain health, useful for the treatment of recreational injuries, to everyday aches and pains.

Personalized exercise plans are designed to help increase performance in sport and/or to achieve personal health and fitness goals.
Soft Tissue Release (STR)
A dynamic technique that is a combination of myofascial release, therapeutic massage, and active assisted stretching. By applying pressure while performing a specific stretch in multiple planes of movement, it results in the correction of muscle imbalances, reorganization of scar tissue, working to decrease pain, improved muscle performance, and release of muscle tension. STR can aid acute and chronic pain for patients who were injured recreationally, at work, or in an automobile accident.
Electrical Therapy Techniques
Ultrasound is an electrical therapy technique that uses sound waves to promote healing, increase blood flow, decrease inflammation, and relieve pain. Shockwave therapy is another electrical therapy technique that uses shock waves for the treatment of musculoskeletal conditions, primarily applied to chronic conditions, particularly those affecting medium to large sized tendons.
Athletic Taping
Athletic taping is the process of applying tape directly to the skin or over pre wrap in order to maintain a stable position of bones and muscles, as well as, support ligaments during athletic activity.
